Getting Around A Corner

This ingenious device was created by Dave Schweitzer from the Olympic Peninsula chapter of the American Association of Woodturners. This is my copy of his rest and is posted with his permission. The overall length is about 14" and the angle is about 30 degrees. Reversing the banjo helps get the rest out of the way when you are trying to get 'around the corner' at the bottom of a bowl and it is easier to cut across the bottom as well.
